UPCOMING AWESOME EVENT!

Tweet If you are unaware of it yet, our FLORIDA ETSY STREET TEAM  is organizing a little bit of 'share the love' work for this holiday season that we as a team can participate in. The non-profit charity is a local Florida one called "Love Letters - Random Cards of Kindness",

we are helping by making handmade cards for kids with life threatening illnesses, and give them a little cheer during the holidays. One of our team members, Darinda of The Water Bottle Soap Co,  who is lucky enough to work in a crafty place, the Paper Niche

(in Davie, Florida) has organized a way for the members in the tri-county area of Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach to gather together and get to know each other while participating!~
So, if you do live in that area, I invite you to join in on Sunday, September 16th from 10:00am – 6:00pm at the Paper Niche, located at 8970 West State Road 84, Davie, Florida 33324.

The cost is $5.00 per person, we have 30 spaces, you will have access to numerous cutting dies, plus the cricut cutting system and the owner, Tammy, was gracious to extend a 20% discount on any purchases made that day. Trust me, crafty members: you can get in to some serious trouble!!

They are also planning on having a few surprises for the day to those lucky team members!  I am so excited to see some of you teamies get out there (get away from your regular life treadmill for a few hours, relax, enjoy and meet some fellow members our team and work on this great project together. Just bring a snack or lunch money (there are some eateries in the vicinity) and your card making materials!

Team FEST Lottery March 1st - 31st

It's that time again –

Team FEST is running a lottery March 1^st through March 31st. You can win a fabulous prize package compliments of Team FEST as well as a feature of your shop on the team blog (including an etsy shop mini!)

How to enter:

You must create a 100% Team FEST treasury and post the link in the comments section below. You can find Florida Etsy Street Team (FEST) members to select treasury items from their shops here: FEST MEMBERS

Be sure to include these three tags in your treasury:

1. etsyteam

2. teamfest

3. fest

You can enter as many times as you wish but you must create a new 100% Team FEST treasury for each entry. (treasury date must be posted between March 1 & March 31 ... no recycling treasuries please)

You can enter to win March 1^st – March 31st

The winner will be chosen with the random number generator.

The lottery is open to all!! Share the opportunity with your family & friends both on and off etsy, share on twitter & facebook too!

If someone who is not an etsy shop is a selected winner he/she can choose the shop they wish to feature. (perhaps a friends shop or a favorite)

Team FEST Orlando Area Meet & Greet Event

On October 15th some area Team FEST folks got together to meet & greet in person. We met at The Social Chameleon in Orlandos Milk District. They were kind enough to open their doors for us to meet and brought in food from Spookys Cafe.

We enjoyed chatting together about etsy ... our shops, strategy, tips, and general conversation getting to know each other. It was wonderful to take the relationships we have built online into an in person gathering!

FEST Treasure Hunt Challenge - CLUE #12

It's the last day of the FEST Treasure Hunt! Make sure you've gotten the rest of the hidden question words and get ready to email the answer (more on how to do that after the rebus). Today marks the FINAL day of the Florida Etsy Street Team Treasure Hunt! If you don't yet know how to play, check out the rules (and the fabulous prizes) HERE.

Now for the clue! The clues for where to look this game will be presented in a Rebus style. If you aren't sure how a rebus works, you might want to take a brief look at the wikipedia entry on them.

Once you've figured out what the name of the shop in the rebus is, find it in our handy-dandy list of FEST member shops (don't worry, you don't need to check them all, just the one which has a name like the rebus puzzle for today).

This treasure hunt has been tricky, it may have been making you see RED, but I'm sure that you've got quite a CLUTCH on how this works by now. Remember, there is a 12 word question, with each word revealed daily, that you will need to answer in order to have the chance to win our amazing prize package!

After you've found today's word, you will have finished discovering the hidden question! You just need to find the answer to the question (tip: Google is your friend) and email the answer, along with your name and State/Province of residence to FESTTreasureHunt@gmail.com before 11:59 PM EST on Saturday May 14th.




The winner will be selected from the correct answers submitted to the e-mail address before the contest closing through a randomization method (numerical assignments to the correct answers and selection via the random number generator at Random.org). The winner will then be announced here on the FEST Blog and will have the prizes mailed to them once a mailing address has been established.



Unfortunately due to laws and restrictions, this game is only open to Residents of The United States and Canada that are 18 years of age or older. You need not be a member of FEST to play, nor do you even need to be a member of Etsy to play. Organizers of the Treasure Hunt are not eligible to win.
