My First FEST Post

Hello Team FEST, this is Melissa. This is my first post on the team FEST blog. I thought I would say hello, and tell a little about myself. I live in Gilchrist County, but moved from upstate NY six years ago. I started collecting gemstones as a hobby about eight years ago. After I collected so many I decided I better learn how to make some jewelry. While I enjoy making traditional types of jewelry, I am beginning to learn beading, wire wrapping and other forms of jewelry making. I actually have three blogs, and one I moderate for my son. We homeschool, and I am a part time nurse, so my days are quite busy. I will be posting on Wednesdays, and I will try to pick topics that will be interesting to everyone, not just jewelry makers. I know one topic that is a thorn in my side, is getting good photos of my jewelry. If you have a hard time too, this video will hopefully be helpful to us all. If you have any tips or tricks that work for you, please share with all of us. Happy Wednesday to all!

How to Set Up a Craft Fair Display

So many of you are debating, planning or taking the "Big Leap" into selling at......
Craft Fairs !
Lots to do!
Which ones to enter? Big expensive ones or small ones? Compile enough stock?
Accept charge cards? Invest in a canopy? How big?
Or the most important question.............
How can I leave to go "pee-pee" when I'm all alone at my booth?
Well here's some help answering one question.
How to Create a Product Display?

Read and get some great advice ....
check out the comments too, and
I got a nice inexpensive banner at Office Max.
Oh , and the "pee-pee" question....
make immediate friends with your booth neighbor,
she'll need potty breaks too!

A Valentine's Special Delivery Project

Etsy is hosting a really fun project, called Special Delivery, to bring some happiness to New York seniors, through the Meals on Wheels program. This began last year and is going to be an annual tradition!
Make or buy Valentine cards that are "cheerful" for a senior adult. Mail them to etsy.
They MUST arrive by FEB. 9th so they can be sent out with the meals on Valentine's Day.
